Ceiling Fans
Ceiling Fan Installation in Houston
A fan that wobbles or hums is usually a mounting problem, not a fan problem. Getting the box and the balance right is most of the job.
Send us a few photos for fast pricing.
What the job involves
A ceiling fan puts moving weight on the ceiling, so the box it hangs from has to be rated for a fan — not every existing box is, particularly where a light fixture used to be. Checking that comes before anything else.
After it's up, balance is what you notice day to day. Blades that sit at slightly different pitches produce the wobble people associate with cheap fans, and it's usually correctable.
Common situations
- Replacing a fan that wobbles, hums, or has stopped working
- Converting an existing light fixture into a ceiling fan
- A new fan for a bedroom, living room, or covered patio
- Fans on sloped or vaulted ceilings needing the right downrod
- Remote or wall-control pairing that never worked properly
- Taking down a fan that's no longer wanted

Using your own fan
Nearly everyone supplies their own fan, which is fine. Send a photo or model number along with a photo of the existing ceiling box and mounting. Blade span and downrod length are worth confirming against your ceiling height before you buy, and we're happy to look before you order.
What affects pricing
Ceiling height, whether the ceiling is flat or sloped, whether the existing box is already fan-rated, whether we're replacing a fan or converting from a light, and the amount of assembly the fan needs. Photos of the current ceiling fixture and the new fan in its box are usually enough.

Questions
Ceiling fan questions
Can you replace a light fixture with a ceiling fan?
Often yes. The main question is whether the existing ceiling box is rated to carry a fan, since a light fixture box frequently is not. Send a photo of the current fixture and we'll tell you what we can see before scheduling.
My fan wobbles. Can that be fixed?
Usually. Wobble most often comes from mounting or blade balance rather than a faulty fan. We'll look at how it's secured and at the blade pitch before suggesting replacement.
Can you install a fan on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
Yes, with the correct downrod and mounting for the slope. Send a photo showing the ceiling angle and the height so we can advise on the downrod length.
Can you set up the remote or wall control?
Yes. Pairing remotes and wall controls is part of the install, and we'll test the fan through its speeds before we leave.
Do you remove and dispose of the old fan?
Yes. The old fan comes down and goes with us, along with the new fan's packaging.
Can you install fans in several rooms on one visit?
Yes, and it's the efficient way to do it. Send the list and photos of each ceiling so we can plan the visit.
